The uncertainty of COVID-19 has made it both more urgent and more challenging to ensure an accurate U.S. census count in 2020. Efforts at the national, state, and local levels are working to ensure everyone is counted, especially communities that are historically undercounted, such as children and students, renters, and rural communities. MacArthur grantee Forefront formed the Illinois Count Me In 2020 coalition, and many grantees are finding new and creative ways to reach hard-to-count communities.
