Madagascar

A new network in Madagascar aims to  bring a multi-faceted approach to sustainable development by combining health education and services with natural resource management and biodiversity conservation. The Madagascar PHE Network, launched by MacArthur grantee Blue Ventures, will help advance population, health, and environment initiatives across the island nation, a global biodiversity hotspot that faces interconnected challenges of environmental degradation, climate change vulnerability, food insecurity, and poor access to health services. With the launch of the network also comes a new report highlighting the country’s rich history of integrated conservation and development initiatives dating back 25 years.
