Inside MacArthur’s Creative Thinking Awards

August 11, 2016 Videos MacArthur Fellows 100&Change

At the Commonwealth Club of California, Cecilia Conrad, managing director of the MacArthur Foundation, hosted a discussion with computer vision technologist Maneesh Agrawala and digital artist Camille Utterback, both MacArthur Fellows.

Mr. Agrawala is a computer scientist designing visual interfaces that enhance our ability to understand large quantities of complex information. Ms.Utterback is an artist who uses digital technologies to create visually arresting works that redefine how viewers experience and interact with art. Ms. Conrad will also discuss 100&Change, MacArthur's new competition for a single $100 million grant to solve a critical problem of our time.

This program is one of many 2016 events celebrating 35 years of MacArthur Fellows, creative people who inspire us all.
