The foreclosure crisis is an opportunity to reorient housing strategies, according to a report by researchers, elected officials, and housing practitioners, who examined home mortgage foreclosures in six metropolitan regions for the National League of Cities. The report is a project of the MacArthur-supported Network on Building Resilient Regions, which is developing applied knowledge about how regions can be resilient in the face of significant challenges, such as foreclosures, rapid immigration, and economic restructuring.
