Measuring the Success of Social Service Organizations

The Vera Institute of Justice has released a guide to assist social service organizations in evaluating the efficacy of their programming. The guide, Measuring Success, supported by MacArthur through its Models for Change juvenile justice reform initiative, outlines the major steps in conducting an outcome evaluation. From challenging organizations to reflect on their mission to explaining why and how to collect data and analyze it, the guide calls upon social service practitioners to provide accurate measures of their effectiveness, both to improve their own programming and to share best practices in the field.
