Young men, Hispanics and those with lower internet skills are the least likely to keep employment-related audiences in mind when it comes to managing social media profiles, according to a first-of-its-kind study by Northwestern University into how young adults approach online reputation management. The MacArthur-supported study found more than 34 percent of men and 25 percent of women never managed their privacy settings or content of their social media profiles with respect to employer audience.
