A report from the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues addresses the intersection of neuroscience and the legal system and cites 16 works by members of the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Law and Neuroscience. The report, written in response to a charge from President Obama to identify core ethical standards in neuroscience, includes a consensus statement by Network members on policy recommendations to support the appropriate and beneficial use of neuroscience in the criminal justice system.
