The Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative team testified at a hearing of the federal Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking. The Commission is charged by Congress and the President with developing a strategy and recommendations to ensure that evidence increasingly informs important federal government programs and policies. The team shared experiences from the state and county levels that may help inform federal policies and practices, and urged the Commissioners to consider the effects of federal actions on existing state and local efforts to use data and research in policymaking.
