Grassroots groups will host more than 230 community-led projects that build safety and support vibrant cohesive communities in Chicago neighborhoods that are most impacted by gun violence. The Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities (PSPC), which MacArthur supports, announced $1.3 million in grants from the PSPC Chicago Fund to support hyperlocal and community-led activities throughout the summer and early fall. In the 10th year of the PSPC Chicago Fund, the programs will include mentorship, arts and culture events, gardening, block club activations, sports, wellness, and more. Since 2016 the fund has distributed nearly $11.7 million to support over 1,700 projects across the city.
