A website developed by the GovLab in partnership with the Omidyar Network provides a repository of case studies on diverse open data initiatives from around the world. The case studies, developed by leaders of the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Opening Governance, illustrate how open data is transforming economic, social, cultural, and political life by empowering citizens, boosting government accountability, and helping to solve large social problems.
