Roughly 300,000 health clinics worldwide do not have reliable electricity with which to provide urgent patient care. A video produced by UNFPA tells the story of how the installation of Solar Suitcases in clinics across Sierra Leone has improved maternal health outcomes. The Suitcase, produced by We Care Solar with support from MacArthur, is an economical, easy-to-use portable power unit that provides health workers with efficient medical lighting and power for mobile communication, computers, and medical devices.
