Playlists for Learning

The 6th and final Digital Media and Learning Competition, dubbed Playlists for Learning, has awarded 11 winning projects grants totaling $700,000 to create innovative learning playlists that close the opportunity gap and help learners succeed in the 21st century. A learning playlist is a curated group of digital and connected learning experiences and resources such as videos, website, books, games, and more that are woven together into a sequenced pathway centered on a common theme. Recipients include youth-serving institutions, non-profit organizations, museums, libraries, school systems, and universities committed to developing and scaling connected learning playlists that can provide viable pathways to higher education and employment. The international Playlists for Learning competition is administered by HASTAC in partnership with the University of California of Humanities Research Institute and supported by MacArthur.
