Chicago Learning Exchange

Chicago Learning Exchange (CLX) granted 11 programs a total of $100,000 to support digital learning in the summer for youth in Chicago, predominantly from communities of color. The programming targets “summer gaps” that youth may experience when they have less access to resources in their communities compared to their peers. These grants support a network of local organizations including MacArthur grantees National Museum of Mexican Art, Community TV Network, Chicago Youth Centers, and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. With MacArthur support, CLX prepares middle-school- and high-school-aged youth for the increasingly technology-focused and “networked age.”
