Twelve people who combat racialized disinformation in their communities were announced as MediaJustice Network Fellows. An eight-month political education and skill-building intensive will equip them with strategy and resources to develop media justice-related projects in their communities. The Fellows have support of peers and mentors from the MediaJustice Network, a grantee, to help advance their work. Often spread covertly and deliberately, racialized disinformation, MediaJustice shares in a video, aims to obscure and fuel racist systems and structures. The cohort of Fellows will work on tracking and identifying mis- and disinformation, mapping narratives, and building narrative power.
