The Roosevelt Institute’s Re:Public Project will invest in youth-driven campaigns and initiatives to push back against privatization in the educational system, economy, and justice system. Roosevelt, recipient of the MacArthur Award for Creative and Effective Institutions, asserts that the impacts of privatization will be deeply felt by younger generations through rising costs of education, increasing incarceration rates, and draining of living wage opportunities. The Re:Public Project will support the development and growth of local projects driven by diverse youth that seek to transform and build institutions to ensure public control over public goods.
