Chicago Connected 240

President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, the Chicago Community Trust, and MacArthur committed $750,000 to support South Side organizations bringing internet connectivity to communities. Home internet connections have become a lifeline during the COVID-19 pandemic, and by establishing greater connectivity it will enable families and students to access employment and education opportunities, and other safety net essentials. MacArthur’s commitment supports the Children First Fund and the Chicago Connected program to ensure Chicago Public School students have free, high-speed internet in their homes.
