Increasing access to maternal health supplies in Nigeria can have a significant impact on reducing maternal mortality. PATH and the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition offered recommendations for policymakers and advocates seeking to improve health products’ quality—through regulation, updated national standards, and stronger maintenance guidelines—and availability—by improving agency coordination, policy alignment, and procurement procedures. In its advocacy paper, PATH, supported by MacArthur, urges advocates in Nigeria to prioritize maternal health supplies to address disparities in maternal mortality in the region.
