Arts and cultural strategies can spur community and economic development in Chicago neighborhoods, especially with coordinated philanthropic support. The Chicago Commitment team is inviting proposals for a consultant (an individual or a firm) to help launch the Chicago Creative Placekeeping Funders Cohort—a new collaboration of Chicago-based funders focused on strengthening community-centered cultural stewardship, advancing equitable neighborhood economic development, and aligning philanthropic strategies that support creative placekeeping across the city’s neighborhoods.
Over a one-year engagement, the selected consultant will design and facilitate four quarterly convenings, conduct landscape research and stakeholder interviews, and help identify shared outcomes, measurement tools, and opportunities for coordinated action.
