Women Deliver

Women Deliver is a New York-based maternal and reproductive health advocacy organization. This award supports scholarships for civil society representatives from India, Mexico, and Nigeria to attend the 2016 Women Deliver conference in Denmark. The focus of the conference is the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as they relate to maternal and reproductive health, and girls and women. The scholarships facilitate greater participation from civil society organizations and present opportunities to disseminate work, to form partnerships and networks, and to learn from other organizations.

Women Deliver has recently launched the Catapult crowdfunding website to raise funds for projects that benefit women and girls around the world. This project will help support the early stages of the operations of Catapult, which enables individual donors to contribute to projects defined by geography or a particular issue, such as maternal health, child marriage, girls’ education, or family planning.

Women Deliver, a maternal health advocacy organization, will convene three regional consultations and one global maternal health conference in 2012 and 2013. Funding from MacArthur will support scholarships for individuals from India, Mexico, and Nigeria.
