Earthjustice

This award renews general operating support for Earthjustice. Founded in 1971, Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization. Earthjustice uses the law and networked partnerships to protect people's health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change. Earthjustice is combatting the climate crisis by working on equitable implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act, meeting the 2030 greenhouse gas reduction targets, transitioning America’s power sector to 100 percent clean energy, and ensuring a sustainable clean energy supply chain.

Founded in 1971, Earthjustice is a nonprofit environmental law organization. With general operating support, Earthjustice is deploying litigation strategies in service of goals to: shrink U.S. coal dependence so that we power the grid with 100 percent clean energy by 2035; increase adoption of renewables so that wind and solar supply at least 20 percent of U.S. power; limit the current rush to gas; and secure reforms that advance grid reform and energy equity in at least 20 states that can, in turn, transform national energy policy.
