National Skills Coalition

The National Skills Coalition is a public policy research and advocacy organization that aims to raise the skills of America’s workforce, with a special emphasis on working across policy domains and connecting federal and state advocacy efforts. It will use this grant to identify and map points of intersection between employment and community development policies and systems, and create recommendations that will inform neighborhood revitalization policy and practice.

To support a national coalition of local workforce development leaders seeking to improve federal welfare, job training, and higher education policies (over two years).

To develop the Workforce Alliance, a national coalition of workforce development practitioners to advocate for the employment and training needs of low-income people (over two years).
