Digital Promise is a non-profit organization authorized by Congress to spur innovation in education through support for research and development. It will use this grant to develop a series of digital badges for educators as part of Connected Educator Month, a month-long set of activities in October carried out in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Education to connect educators to resources, tools, colleagues, experts, and learning activities, both in and beyond schools; and build awareness among educators of teaching and learning innovations, and help them develop connections and build community around shared interests, challenges and aspirations.
