NEW YORK, NEW YORK — The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is co-chairing with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) a high-level Commission to bring attention to effective but neglected maternal health commodities. The Commission will convene for six months to examine challenges and opportunities to bring needed health supplies to key countries. The Commission will work with both public and private sector actors. At the end of six months, the Commission will release a report with key recommendations on improving access to maternal health supplies.
The MacArthur Foundation awarded United States Fund for UNICEF $250,000 between 1978 and 2017.
