Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association

Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) is a regional professional organization dedicated to promoting the educational, scientific, and technological development of marine sciences throughout the region of Western Indian Ocean. This grant will support the development of a local fisheries management network for the Western Indian Ocean. The network will serve as a forum for region-wide small-scale fisheries discussions and information exchange on effective fisheries management approaches, especially Locally-Managed Marine Areas (LMMAs), across the region.
