With the vision of helping create a world where energy needs are sustainably and efficiently met, the Energy and Resources group of the University of California Berkeley undertakes rigorous analysis and in depth research on economic and technical issues that are most relevant to transitioning to a clean, efficient, reliable and affordable energy system. This award enables the group to support policymakers as well as public and private sector institutions in India in achieving the national vision of a full transition to electric vehicles by 2030. The group undertakes modelling, analysis and capacity building activities that enable informed decision making to accelerate the process of transitioning to electric power in the transportation sector.
