ELPC intervenes in legal and regulatory proceedings to protect natural resources and encourage clean energy development. Through targeted litigation, ELPC is leading strategic public interest campaigns to ensure that a significant number of Midwest states, which collectively represent five percent of global carbon emissions due to their heavy industry and a reliance on coal-fired power plants, pivot decisively towards limiting their carbon emissions by reforming their energy sector.
