Centre for the Right to Health, a Nigerian non-profit organization, was established in 1999 to promote the right to health and respect for ethics and human rights in health care policies and practices. This project aims to generate evidence of patients' rights violations in facilities, with a special focus on disrespectful and abusive maternal care services, and to stimulate momentum to address them. Centre staff is raising awareness about disrespectful and abusive care by collecting evidence of rights violations, producing a report and briefing papers, creating a short video, and carrying out advocacy with professional associations and policymakers.
