The Anusandhan Trust/Center for Enquiry into Health and Allied Themes (CEHAT) will carry out intervention research that aims to develop and test the feasibility and efficacy of a counselling intervention for pregnant women and their families in hospital settings in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Findings will be used to advocate with the state and national Ministries of Health and Family Welfare for the integration of screening and counselling in routine antenatal care in India and for the training of providers to address violence in a pregnancy.
