"The Look of Silence" Film Screening

Filmmaker Joshua Oppenheimer’s compelling 2014 documentary The Look of Silence focuses on a family of survivors of the 1965 Indonesian genocide and their discovery of how their son was murdered, along with the identity of his killers. This unprecedented film, a companion piece to the Oscar-nominated The Act of Killing (2012), initiates and bears witness to the collapse of fifty years of silence. The film screening is followed by a discussion with the filmmaker.
