Growing Support for Criminal Justice Reform

A growing majority of voters supports sentencing reform and other criminal justice reform measures, according to an ongoing tracking poll by the MacArthur-supported Coalition for Public Safety. The final results from the poll reflect that the majority of respondents supports changes to sentencing practices to ensure they are tailored to individual circumstances. Respondents also support measures to reduce federal spending on incarceration for non-violent offenses and to focus on rehabilitating people convicted of crimes.
