MacArthur's initiative to support the preservation of affordable rental housing in Chicagoland, the Preservation Compact, is being replicated. The Ohio Preservation Compact, which was started by the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, a Foundation grantee, centers on a similar collaborative model designed to facilitate active federal, state, and local collaboration. According to a new report, the Ohio Preservation Compact has preserved more than 8,000 affordable rental units since being seeded by the Foundation.
