Case Studies Look at Housing Preservation Efforts
July 9, 2014 | Grantee Publications | Housing, Preserving Affordable Rental Housing

A series of five case studies by the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University examine the characteristics of subsidized housing and the process by which they are being preserved through refinancing and renovation. The MacArthur-supported studies explore the history of properties and how they came to be preserved in Boston, Chicago, Minnesota, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania — each selected to represent a variety of geographic locations, communities, real estate markets, and types of tenants.
