nigerian widow

A study by the Nigerian-based Centre for Information Technology and Development has found that the country’s police force has failed to pay financial benefits owed to widows of police officers killed by Boko Haram. The study consists of interviews with nine widows, none of whom have received all of the benefits to which they are entitled. In addition, researchers found a pattern of bribery and sexual coercion used against those widows who did receive payment.
