The ways in which society is responding to climate change in the planning and management of cities, agriculture, and natural resources are examined in The State of Adaptation in the United States, a MacArthur-commissioned report undertaken by EcoAdapt, the University of Washington, Georgetown University, and the University of California-Davis. The report also identifies gaps that need to be filled to be prepare communities for climate change, as well as actions to address those gaps.
