There are stark differences in the way people view the causes and impacts of climate change based on geography and culture, but the great majority shares understanding that climate change is happening according to a report from The Yale Program on Climate Change Communication. The MacArthur supported Program partnered with Meta to survey Facebook users in 192 countries and territories on their beliefs about climate change. The report details varying knowledge on environmental impacts, worries about climate change, and the possibility and responsibility for action. The study can provide data to leaders, journalists, and advocates across the globe to inform climate efforts to their context.
