European Leaders Urge UN Action on Arms Control

Over 100 members of the European Leadership Network signed a group statement on arms control and nuclear risk in advance of the UN General Assembly in September. MacArthur-grantee the European Leadership Network focuses on the need for multilateral engagement and new approaches to address the complex future of arms control. Signatories, who come from political, diplomatic, and military fields, cite urgent challenges and increasing risk to the nuclear regime and make recommendations for the Assembly that would promote stability, transparency, and arms constraints.
