Even amid the COVID-19 crisis, Americans are increasingly concerned about the impact of climate change, according to a survey on public opinion on climate change from grantee Yale Program on Climate Communications. Those who believe climate change is happening and is human-caused are at their highest numbers, and two in three are at least “somewhat worried” about its consequences. The poll, conducted in April 2020 when many Americans were isolating due to coronavirus, emphasizes that climate change is an enduring and immediate threat.
