Retrofitting carbon capture technology at existing industrial and electric power sites has substantial economic benefits, according to a Rhodium Group report commissioned by the Great Plains Institute. The state-by-state analysis showed that investment in carbon capture has potential to create more than 5,000 jobs per year. Carbon capture can address emissions from a variety of industries, including materials production, manufacturing, and the power sectors, and the MacArthur-supported report shows that it can also be economically profitable.
