The U.S.-Russia Young Professionals Nuclear Forum held a session focused on nuclear power’s relationship to climate change. The students, postdoctoral scholars, and early career professionals from Russia and the U.S. collaborated on articles that argue their generation must take action on climate change and that expanding nuclear power, with multilateral international cooperation, is an essential element of combating a climate crisis. The Forum, established in 2016 by grantee Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation, brings young professionals in the nuclear field from Russia and the U.S. to collaborate on significant issues in the field.
