Launched by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the website MidwestImmigration.org seeks to enhance public understanding of immigration and its importance to the region’s economic future. The site provides state-by-state immigration information for the 12-state Midwest, including demographics, legislative histories, and labor force data. The Council’s bipartisan Task Force on Immigration and U.S. Economic Competitiveness, which consists of 54 business and civic leaders from across the region, aims to build consensus around and support for immigration policy at the state and national levels.
