Africa Transitional Justice Legacy Fund 240

In its work to promote a community of practice around transitional justice in West Africa, the Africa Transitional Justice Legacy Fund announced its first grants to 17 civil society organizations and survivor groups. The organizations represent six West African countries, and all receive between $10,000 and $50,000 to pursue one-year projects related to the African Union Transitional Justice Policy. Grantee Institute for Democratic Governance in Accra, Ghana is administering the fund, co-founded by MacArthur, with the goal to support survivors’ agency as they rebuild communities impacted by conflict.
