The Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities awarded $1 million in grants to 142 community organizations in 21 Chicago neighborhoods on the South and West Sides. The organizations have adapted their programs to COVID-19, with hybrid models and expanded schedules, as many communities grapple with the pandemic alongside gun violence. The grants support summer and fall programming to help create safer, more cohesive communities with the Chicago Fund for Safe and Peaceful Communities.
