A new report from Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society, a MacArthur grantee, delineates several networks within Russia’s Twitter ecosystem centered on topics ranging from politics to music to geographical position. Mapping Russian Twitter, part of Berkman’s two-year, MacArthur-funded effort to examine the Internet’s impact on the country’s citizens, pulls from more than 10,000 tweets by Russia’s most active and influential users on the site to present a detailed map of discussion topics.
