Two organizations that serve Chicagoans experiencing substance abuse and addiction, hunger, and homelessness will receive the 2024 MacArthur Annual Staff Award. Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center and Chi-Care will each receive $50,000 in general operating support for their work. Every year since 1989, a cross-section of Foundation Staff participate in a voluntary committee to select one or two Chicago-based nonprofits to receive this year-end grant. This one-time award recognizes charitable organizations that may fall outside of our grantmaking guidelines.
