Founders of news startups are strapped for time and resources, so the Tiny News Collective is helping support their professional development. The Collective’s Spark Fund provided 14 newsrooms grants for training and development. The fund is aimed at professional and leadership development for members of the Tiny News Collective and funded by MacArthur. These grants will help cover costs like travel, conferences, membership fees, educational materials, coaching, and classes.
