The Partnership for Safe and Peaceful Communities announced $1 million dollars of rapid response grants to 164 organizations on Chicago’s South and West Sides. These 21 communities are disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus and high rates of gun violence. The grants fund community-led summer and fall activities that are proven to reduce violence and foster community. The support helps organizations that build and strengthen community resilience to safely adapt their events, programs, and services to the needs of social distancing.
