The Sierra Club, a MacArthur grantee, launched Ready for 100, a new campaign aimed at accelerating a just and equitable transition to clean, renewable energy in the United States. The campaign kicked off with a surprise action during the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Washington, D.C., and a challenge to get 100 U.S. cities to commit to 100 percent renewable energy. Sierra Club is calling for ambitious leadership at the local level to make that transition.
