PBS NewsHour Via Phone

Using technology to expand its audience, PBS NewsHour, a MacArthur grantee, has made its audio track available from mobile and land line phones. NewsHour can be accessed without downloads or accessing data services. Listeners can dial 712-432-6610 to hear an audio stream of the daily one-hour show. The new distribution stream accelerates a primary goal of the program: providing its brand of thoughtful, in-depth and balanced news reporting and analysis to its audience however and whenever they want it.
