Opportunity to Empower Climate Advocates Through Education

There is a gender difference in knowledge about climate change, and commentary from The Yale Program on Climate Change Communication suggests an opportunity help women become more engaged on climate issues. Women are more likely to understand the impacts of climate change, express more concern about its effects, and support mitigation efforts, but a knowledge gap in the science behind climate change persists. The Yale Program, supported by MacArthur, suggests that education efforts about climate science could help empower women as advocates for climate action.
