Philanthropist Joseph Zilber announced a new 10-year, $50 million initiative in Milwaukee that is explicitly modeled on the New Communities Program (NCP) in Chicago, which is supported by the Foundation through LISC. The new initiative will adapt the successful NCP model, which seeks to revitalize 16 Chicago communities, and help Milwaukee organizations support specific efforts to improve the quality of life in up to 10 neighborhoods. The Zilber Neighborhood Initiative was reported in The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
